Let’s dive into the warm, comforting world of homemade bread!

Ingredients:
For the apple filling:

3-4 apples, sliced
1 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (optional)
2 tablespoons butter
For the dough:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 egg yolk, for brushing
Instructions:
Make the apple filling: In a medium saucepan, combine the apples, lemon juice, cinnamon (if using), and butter. Cook over medium heat until softened, about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.

Make the dough: In the bowl of your Kitcheninthebox stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and melted butter. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.

Shape the bread: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 6 portions, roll into balls, and rest for 15 minutes.

Roll out each ball, fill with apple filling, and pleat the edges to seal. Place in the loaf pan, brush with egg yolk, and arrange apple slices on top.

Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Tips:
For an extra caramel flavor, opt for brown sugar in the filling. Enjoy your warm bread with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Happy baking! 🍏🥖✨
