Cake:
- 400g granulated sugar
- 250g all-purpose flour
- 85g cocoa powder
- 6g baking powder
- 2g baking soda
- 5g salt
- 177ml vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 10ml pure vanilla extract
- 237ml buttermilk, room temperature
- 237ml hot brewed coffee
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper and spray with baking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In the Kitchen in the box Stand Mixer, stir in vegetable oil until dry ingredients are well coated, then add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in buttermilk until combined, then carefully pour in hot coffee and stir until smooth.
